Proekspert AS, an Estonian design and software development company specializing in making machines and devices smart, has been named Estonia’s National Champion in The European Business Awards, sponsored by RSM. The competition is Europe’s largest business contest which celebrates business excellence and best practices in the European business community.
Over 33,000 businesses from 34 countries will compete for titles in the competition, now in its 10th year.
“The European Business Awards are widely recognised as the showcase for Europe’s most dynamic companies,” said Proekspert’s Lead Marko Sverdlik. “We’re very proud to be selected to represent Estonia as National Champion in Europe’s largest business competition in the UKTI Award for Innovation category. The award acknowledges the importance of innovation as a strategy to influence ongoing business development and we are proud to be recognised at this level.”
Proekspert’s strong suit is critical thinking. “In each phase of the project, our engineers, architects and designers put the seemingly best solution of the problem under scrutiny, and as a result of discussions, analysis and research, ideas exceeding the client’s expectations came to light,” Sverdlik added.
Adrian Tripp, CEO of the European Business Awards, characterized National Champions as “central to the success of Europe’s strong business community,” and noted they have demonstrated “the core principles we look for of innovation, ethics and success.”
National Champions were chosen after a first phase of judging by an independent panel. They were evaluated on the core EBA values of innovation, ethics and success, and will now enter the second stage of the competition. The awards’ independent judges will award the best of this group the ‘Ruban d’Honneur’ status, and the selected companies will then go on to the Gala Final in 2017.
The awards’ core purpose is to support the development of a stronger and more successful business community throughout Europe.
